Staff Report
The Coyote girls’ basketball team played holiday angels to area children during halftime of Tuesday’s game vs. Hobbs.
Team members presented several boxes of toys to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree project, which helps match gifts with needy youngsters.
Captain Beau Perez said this year’s program has doubled the number of families it expects to help this year — from 250 to 500 — and he is “very thankful for the generosity” of the team and everyone who donated to the program.
